On January 19, 2011, YITIS will be hosting its 5th Yukon IT Conference.
The theme for the conference is, “Boost: New Ideas in Business Technology”. It is our goal to spark and encourage discussion on the latest in business technology and strategic thinking. The event will be one day in length and feature speakers from Vancouver, Victoria and other areas of Canada.
More information will follow soon, in the form of a website, which is why we are contacting you, the YITIS membership.
We need a conference website ready to go live on or before November 19, 2010. At first, the website will be fairly simple with event information, tentative schedule and speaker bios. It will also include an online form that people can use to register and pay for attendance at the event. As time goes on and the conference date approaches, other information will need to be added or changed.
The budget we have set aside for the website is $5,000. Anything above that cost will need to be volunteer time for the company who does the project work. Hosting, domain name registration and other small administrative costs are excluded from this budget and can charged seperately, if pre-approved by YITIS .
If you are a current YITIS member and are interested in designing, developing and managing the Yukon IT Conference website, please send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with a simple confirmation note.
We’d like to hear from you by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010. Once we have collected these responses, we’ll send out more information to the interetested parties.
